About this role

Solantex Business Development Manager Remote, United States. Travel required. Full time, W2. Base $95,000 to $170,000 plus commission, on target earnings $220,000 and up.

About Solantex

Solantex is a multi-vertical technology company that builds what it sells. We design and manufacture our own solar hardware under ClaroWatt, we run Western Domain, a livestock auction platform; and we built Sunny, our own AI engine, and put it to work everywhere: answering phones on a customer PBX, running kiosks, handling identity verification, securing networks, managing back office operations, websites and kiosks.

The role

You would be the Business Development Manager at Solantex, reporting directly to the CEO with nothing between you and the decision maker. This is not a maintenance job and it is not a job with a script. You are being handed a company that already ships, already manufactures its own product, and already has federal contracting authority and you are building the revenue engine that matches it.

You will run full sales cycles yourself, from first contact through close. You will build the partner and reseller channel and you will work the federal pipeline using our active SAM registration. This is a builder's job for someone who wants ownership, not a territory handed to them with a bow on it.

What you would be selling

Beyond the Sunny line, we develop custom AI engagements, technology licensing, and PBX installation and maintenance for customers who want Sunny answering their phones. This is a wide product company with real engineering behind every line of it, and you will be selling all of it, not one narrow SKU.

What you need

Five or more years selling technology to businesses, with a track record you can walk through deal by deal, not just talk about in general terms. You should be someone who runs a full cycle alone and closes without a manager doing it for you.

You need enough technical fluency to hold your own in a conversation about how the products actually work. You do not need to write code, but you need to be credible in front of the people who do.

Federal contracting experience and SAM.gov fluency are a strong advantage here given where we sit today. Channel or partner sales experience is another. Telephony or PBX background is useful and not required.

Above everything else, you need to be someone who builds structure out of opportunities rather than waiting for it to be handed to you.

How we work

Solantex is founder led with no layers between you and the top. Decisions get made fast, in conversation, not in committee, and you will be in that conversation regularly. This suits someone who wants real influence over pricing, positioning and where the company goes next, and who is comfortable being judged on results rather than activity.

The role is remote, open to candidates anywhere in the United States, with travel required for customer meetings, partner development and industry events.

Compensation

Base salary of $95,000 to $170,000 based on experience, plus uncapped commission. On target earnings are $220,000 and up.
